Electric Land had an eventful year and a busy end to 2022. Our growing team and pipeline have become business as usual with the team enjoying being back in the office in Soho most of the time. Our advanced development pipeline is now over 1GW across over 20 sites, predominantly battery projects, many already with planning and secured utility connections.
In Q4, 5 of our projects went un-conditional in terms of purchase, planning, grid, easements and letting. We are delighted to welcome Pulse Clean Energy and Terra Firma to our tenant roster and to have leased further sites to Conrad Energy and Octopus. A total of 114MW, of mostly 2-hour duration battery projects, will go into construction in 2023; all of which will have completed by the end of January and be on site by the summer.
We continue to work hard on growing and progressing our development pipeline with 8 planning consents – for 297MW – secured in the second half 2022 and 7 applications – for 610MW – in hand.
All of these sites will be leased and added to our unique investment portfolio of freehold, grid-connected land, yielding long, ultra-secure, index-linked ground rents.
